| When Dr. Dahl does comprehensive exams, she checks the neck, cheeks, tongue, throat, and includes a cancer exam of all soft tissues. Then she carefully measures the gums and cheeks for receding gums, bone loss around the roots, and loose teeth. She records measurements of the bite, and TMJ (jaw joint) range of motion.
She restores all existing restorations (fillings, crowns, etc.) and checks all the teeth for any new decay or other problems. For commples treatment plans, she develops a written treatment plan along with options in plain English, to discuss with our patients so they can be fully informed in making decisions that are appropriate for their unique wants and needs.
