Meet The Dentists

Dr. Christine Dahl

I grew up in Washington, D.C., Tennessee, and Louisiana. I moved to the Quad Cities in 1972 and worked as a dental claims processor and dental assistant. My pre-dental courses were at Northeast Louisiana University and Augustana College. While at the College of Dentistry at the University of Iowa, I served as Editor of the dental school newspaper. I received the Dean’s Leadership Award and the Senior student Radiology Award. I graduated from dental school in 1980 and have maintained my practice in Bettendorf.

My particular area of interest within dentistry is helping fearful patients and patients with dental phobia to feel relaxed and comfortable during dental visits. I am a dentist for the whole family. I have served as an Adjunct Part Time faculty member at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. I present workshops for dental students and practicing dentists in the area of treating fearful dental patients.

I am a cosmetic dentist in Bettendorf who sees dentistry as an art, and teeth as the medium on which I practice my art. I offer a variety of cosmetic dentistry services, such as porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns, tooth-colored fillings, and teeth whitening.

I have been active within dentistry and have served as President of the Iowa Academy of General Dentistry, member of the Academy of General Dentistry Membership Council, and Board Member of the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration. I am a Fellow in the American Society of Geriatric Dentistry, and a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, American Dental Association, and the Federation Dentaire Internationale.

I enjoy increasing my technical abilities and dental knowledge. I participate in at least 50 hours of continuing education each year. My personal interests include reading, travel, attending plays and concerts, walking, and cooking.

Dr. Hiba Nourahmed

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2008. In 2013, I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa. Since I’ve finished my dental training, I have been taking continuing education courses to follow up with the latest innovations and advances in dentistry.

From reconstructing smiles and rebuilding self-confidence to eliminating dental pain, I enjoy all aspects of dentistry. I believe that skills and compassion are equally important in providing patients with care that combines both quality and comfort. I am very excited to be joining Bettendorf Dental this summer, a practice I believe shares the same values when it comes to exceptional patient care.

I moved to the area in 2014 and live in Bettendorf, IA with my husband and our two children. When I am not treating patients, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading and cooking.

We are conveniently located on Maplecrest Road across from Bettendorf High School, near the Genesis Medical Plaza, and one block east of 18th Street.
